A LATEST BOMBER PLANES SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) CAIRO, August 19 A communique issued by Royal Air Force headquarters reveals that the n Italian aeroplanes shot down after the Bardia bombardment included the latest three-engined Savoia bombers. “We shot down a Savoia in flames in the vicinity of Kamaran Island,” the communique adds. “An enemy machine which raided Alexandria on Friday made a forced landing intact in the western desert, and the crew was captured. We carried out harassing raids in Somaliland on and scored direct hits on Hargeisa. One of our aeroplanes came down in the sea, but th? crew was saved.” British bombers yesterday attacked the military aerodrome at Addis Ababa, in Abyssinia, states a message from Cairo this morning. Direct hits were scored on four hangars, and a petrol fire was started. All the British machines returned safely.
