LOCKERBIE CUP FINAL WIN FOR W. S. GOOSMAN Following are the- results of competitions played on the Morrinsville gulf links during the week-end: — Goosmun Trophy (semi-final). —M. J. Davies beat P. Brodie, 7—6; E. Gummer beat C. E. Hart, 3—2. Lockerbie Cup (semi-final).—W. S. Goo-man beat T. 11. Johns, 3—2; N. Ross beat P. I’otry, 6—l. Final. W. S. Goosman beat N. Ross, 2 tip. The -four-ball best-ball bogey played In conjunctiun with the above competitions was won by P. Denholm and C. R. Miller on a count back from G. Tapper and J. R. White, both being 2 up. Other scores were. W. w. Maingav and J. L. Faulkner, l up; D. T. Davies and K. K. Cooper, all square; P. Marsh and O. Hetherlngton, all square; H. Soanes and G. Porter, A. L. Thomas and H. F. McConnell, 2 down; B, Coombe and A. E. Trotter, 3 down. Family Turkey Competition The above competition for a turkey donated by .Mr M. J. Stewart, played yesterday afternoon, was won by Mr‘and‘Mrs T.
