COMMUNISTS AND NAZIS WIDESPREAD STRIKE PLANNED (United Pre*s Assn.—Eler. rei. copyright) LOS ANGELES. August 18 A member of the House of RepreMQtatives, Mr Martin Dies, declared
that Communists and Nazis had planned a widespread strike in Southern California aircraft factories to cripple national defence snd frustrate aid to England. Mr Dies said there was a list of 1200 suspected sympathisers of the German American Bund, many of whom were entrenched in key positions in the aircraft industry.
