BASKETBALL DANCE
After being runner-up for the Kennedy Cup for several years the “A” team of the Springdale Basketball Club was this season successful in achieving its ambition. To celebrate the occasion, the “B” team gave a dance recently, the “A” team being the guests. Novelty dances were won by Miss J. Ferguson and Mr A. Fieldes; Miss J. Ryan and Mr W. Ryan, and Mr J. Goffin and partner. Mr K. Young acted as master of ceremonies. Among those present were:—Mesdames O. Steiner, A. Mathis, L. Ferguson, H. Bridgeman, L. Roberts, J. Grant. Misses L. Steiner, J. Ferguson, Mary Steiner, P. Bridgeman, G. Mathis, K. Rae, T. R. G. and E. Duffell, Vera and Violet Foster, Martha Steiner, J. Ryan, L. Middleton, E. McCabe, T. Jackson, J. Johnston, F. and B. Roberts, J. White, M. A. Grady.
