TODAY’S RECIPE
SAGO PLUM PUDDING Ingredients: Three tablespoons sago, 1 cup milk, 1 cup sultanas or mixed fruits, \ cup chopped lemon peel, 1 cup soft breadcrumbs, cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon marmalade, £ teaspoon mixed spice, 1 teaspoon ! flour, \ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda, I dessertspoon melted | butter. Method: Soak washed sago in milk, mix with breadcrumbs, sugar, fruits, peel, marmalade, melted butter, and stir in sifted flour, spice and soda. Pour into buttered moulds, cover with buttered paper and steam for to 3 hours. Serve with sweet sauce.
