REDUCTION FACED
AMBULANCE PETROL BOARD SEES DIFFICULTY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday The Wellington Free Ambulance has been requested to reduce its petrol allocation by 25 per cent., but at a meeting to-day it was stated that without the extra work the board was doing, principally for the Hospital Board and the military authorities, the board would be unable to carry on work under normal conditions with such a reduction. The board had voluntarily reduced from 750 to 650 gallons a month, but rather than a decrease it might be necessary to ask for an increase. The allocation for July was exceeded.
