DIRECTORS ELECTED
DAIRY COMPANY OFFICIALS TWO VACANCIES FILLED The result of the election to fill two vacancies on the board of directors of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, Limited, was announced last night at the annual smoke concert. The candidate returned for the Thames Valley was Mr W. E. Hale, of Turua, a sitting member and chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board, and Mr W. C. S. Hosking, of Waiuku, was elected to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr R. H. McKenzie. Both candidates succeeded by wide margins. Messrs J. T. Young, of Te Awamutu, and E. D. White, of Putaruru, were returned unopposed for the south-western and south-eastern wards respectively. In the Thames Valley election, Mr Hale was opposed by Mr J. W. Neate, Ngatea, while in the contest for the northern electoral district, in which Mr Hosking was successful, the defeated candidates were Messrs R. P. Dane (Huapai), P. G. Wyman (Tamaki) and W. D. Leslie (Taupaki).
