LEADERS MEET
HOOPER CUP HOCKEY AOTEA AND COLTS The fate of the Hooper Cup for this season will hinge on the meeting of the leading teams, Aotea and Colts, at Steele Park tomorrow. The teams have an equal number of points to their credit on the competition table, and the issue tomorrow is a very open one. The first series of matches in the second and final round of the competition have been already played, and the team that wins in the Aotea-Colts matcii tomorrow is practically assured of winning the competition. In the other match, Kaipaki will meet Old Boys and in this encounter play should be close and interesting. Second grade representatives will play Waihi at Waihi, and school representatives will be engaged in a trial game at Steele Park. Women’s matches will also be continued tomorrow. The draw is as follows:—Kaipaki v. Old Boys, No. 1 ground at 1.30 p.m. (Messrs McKinnon and Fabling); Colts v. Aotea, No. 1 ground at 3.0 p.m. (Messrs Hunter and Fabling). Second Grade: Hamilton v. Waihi, at Waihi. Third Grade: School Representatives v. The Rest, No. 2 ground at 2.30 p.m. (Messrs Bramwell and Grade). Women’s Matches: Tokomaru v. Tainui, No. 1 ground at 1.30 p.m. (Messrs Morris and Gracie); Arawa v. Nurses, No. 1 ground at 3 p.m. (Messrs Weedon and Morris); School B v. Leamington, No. 2 ground at 1.4 p.m. (Messrs Weedon and Carrington); School A. v. Horotiu, No. 2 ground at 3 p.m. (Mr Carrington and Miss P. Taylor); Ohaupo, a bye.
