Arrival of Mariposa
With 268 passengers and 1273 bags of mail, the Mariposa arrived yesterday from San Francisco via Tahiti, Pago Pago and Suva. She left at 10 p.m. for Sydney. The Mariposa disembarked 500 American excursionists at Tahiti. The Monterey, which left Auckland for California on July 27, also called at Tahiti, both ships remaining there three days.
