EXTENSIVE REPAIRS

DAMAGED OIL TANKER WORK IN AUCKLAND (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Wednesday Extensive repairs are to be carried out in Auckland to the Norwegian tanker Ole Jacob, which was seriously damaged in a collision in Cook Strait. The contract has been secured, in competition, by Messrs Mason Brothers.

The tanker is expected to leave Wellington under its own power next week-end. Work will take from five to six weeks and 80 to 100 men will be continuously engaged.
