SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 ANGLICAN AND CATHOLICS (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 15, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 14 It is officially announced that His Majesty desires that September 8, the first Sunday after the anniversary of the outbreak of the war, be observed as a day of national prayer. The Archbishop of Canterbury, in a statement, said the desire would find a ready response in the hearts of the people. Cardinal Hinsley directed the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on September 8 in every church chapel in Britain, also general Communion. Cardinal Hinsley said: “We Catholic liegemen respond whole-heartedly to His Majesty’s expressed wish.”
