PERSONAL
Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, returned from Wellington this morning. Mr J. R. H. Cooksey, Dominion Scout Training Commissioner, is in Hamilton. Messrs E. D. Brown (Waipukurau), C. O. Gibbs (Auckland), W. L. Lacy (Stratford), J. Hall (Papakura) and B. M. Harrocks (Whakatane) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Mr Max Pirani, professor of pianoforte at the Royal Academy of Music. London, arrived at Auckland by the Mariposa yesterday. He expects to begin examinations for the Royal Schools of Music in Wellington tomorrow and will be conducting tests in the various centres of the Dominion for about four months. Dr. J. Frederick Staton, an examiner for the Royal College of Music, arrived at Auckland by the Mariposa yesterday and expects to be in the Dominion until the end of September. He will judge the Wellington Music Festival competitions before going to Taranaki to conduct examinations for the Royal College of Music.
