GUARANTEED PRICE EQUALITY OF SACRIFICE (Special to Times? TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday That the decision of the dairying industry to accept the same guaranteed price for this season was made on the understanding that similar sacrifices should be made by other sections of the community was the opinion expressed at a meeting of the directors of the Te Awamutu Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, today. The following resolution was carried:— “That this company make representations to the New Zealand Dairy Board pointing out that the recent decision of the dairy industry leaders to accept the same price for the third year in succession in spite of heavy increased costs on the farm was made on the basis that other sections of the community should adopt a similar attitude, and that representations be made immediately pressing for an increased price to be paid by the New Zealand Government in the guaranteed figure for the 1940-41 season to cover additional costs imposed on dairy farmers.”
