UNLICENSED DRIVERS

BUSINESS FIRMS FINED SPEED LIMIT OFFENDERS Charges of employing unlicensed drivers were preferred against Turners and Fow, Limited (Mr R. McCaw) and the Hamilton Hardware Company, Limited, before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court, Hamilton, today. Each defendant was fined 10s and costs. For exceeding 25 miles an hour in a heavy motor vehicle at Te Rapa, Emil Becker (Auckland) was fined £2 and costs, and for exceeding 30 miles an hour in the Ngaruawahia Borough, Peter Ramsay was fined 10s and costs.

Fines of 10s and costs in each instance were imposed on Albert Hugh Delaney, who was charged with driving without a license and with having insufficient lights. Also charged with driving without a license, Charles Greenslade was fined 10s and costs.
