Religious Journals’ Crisis
Religious newspapers, both in Australia and in England, are experiencing severe difficulties arising from the rationing of paper, states the Methodist Times. All of them have been reduced to much smaller size and have appealed to the loyalty of their readers to stand by them in this time of crisis. 'Egmont Lightly Clad Last winter snow lay round the Dawson Falls hostel, Mount Egmont, at one period for eight weeks, sometimes inches thick, but this year only three real falls have been experienced at Dawson Falls and no snow has remained on the ground for more than about three days at the most. It has been one of the warmest winters on the southern slopes of Egmont for years, with the result that there has been poor snow for winter sports. Much of the snow on the slopes above the hostel has been washed away by warm rains.
