HURRICANE IN AMERICA
75 TO 100 MILES AN HOUR (United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) WASHINGTON, August 11 The Red Cross announce that a hurricane struck Charleston, South Carolina, with full force at 7 p.m. The velocity varied from 75 to 100 miles an hour. It is said to be moving northward at 15 miles an hour and was expected to reach Georgetown, South Carolina, at 11 o’clock tonight.
