Gregoire, Louis Even, Paul Bouchard and Rene Chalout criticises the Government’s internment of the Mayor of Montreal, Mr Camillien Houde, following his refusal to comply with the registration provision of the Mobilisation Act, and asks Mr McKenzie King, the Prime Minister, and Mr E. Lapointe, Minister of Justice, for a formal assurance that no mobilised Canadian will be forced to serve overseas.
