HOCKEY FINAL

PATERANGI WINS EMPSON CUP (Special to Times.) TE AWAMUTU, Monday. By defeating- Waratalis on Saturday, Paterangi won the Empson Cup arter putting- up an undereated record for the season one match being- drawn. Saturday’s match produced some good hockey among the Torwards, and the result was in doubt right to the final whistle. Paterangi won by 3 goals, to 2. The scorers were Finn, Head and L. Spiers for the winners and Paul Brown and Peter Brown for the losers. Both Te Rahu and Ramblers were short of players and Te Rahu won by 4 to 2. The scorers were Thompson (2), N. Spiers and T. Lawr.v for the rnrmer and B. Gibson and R. Burns for tlie latter.
