CALLING-UP NOTICE
PUBLICATION IN GAZETTE : Names of men drafted from the 1 reserve under the ballot scheme will : be published in the Gazette, according to an official announcement, and r this notice in itself is sufficient to [ effect the transfer of the men con- ; cerned to the armed forces. To allow for the fact that the Gazette is not universally available, individual - notices will be served on the men ; thus chosen, by registered letter. ‘ It is pointed out that the serving - of the notice will, be dependent on 1 the reservist keeping the Director of National Service informed of any change of address. Failure to do this * will make the offender liable to the J penalties provided in the regulations, . and may result in a subsequent charge of desertion. Changes of ' address must be notified by registered letter within seven days.
