CANADIAN AIR FORCE FLIERS CONGRATULATED FIGHTING SIDE BY SIDE (Official Wireless) (Received Aug. 10, 1 p.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 9 Now approaching its ninth birthday, the oldest fighter squadron of the Canadian Air Force is completing its training alongside a British squadFon which already has had 80 victories against Nazi raiders. Equipped with Canadian-built Hurricanes and staffed by Canadians, this squadron is made up of men from the auxiliary units in Canada who in civil life have followed as divers callings as their brothers-in-arms of the Royal Air Force auxilaries and volunteer reserve. Inspected today by the Canadian High Commissioner, the squadron sent by him their congratulations to the Royal Air Force on the superb achievements over the Channel yesterday. A feature of the occasion was the sending of messages by 100 officers rnd men over the microphone of the Canadian broadcasting services to friends in Canada.
