PERSONAL

The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, left Wellington last night for a few days’ visit to Rotorua. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason, Minister of Education, visited Raglan today to open a new secondary school. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, who is member for the district, was also present. Mr H. Mackay, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton. Captain R. A. Reid, M.C., has been appointed to the New Zealand Temporary Staff and posted as adjutant to the Waikato Mounted Rifles. The Rev. Dr. Alexander Hodge, Minister of the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle, arrived in Hamilton today. He will be the guest of the Rev. and Mrs G. C. Reay during his 10day evangelistic mission in Hamilton.
