SPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Walkato-Thames Valley Is as follows: -General situation: A depression Is centred to the north of Auckland, while an anticyclone extends from Australia on to the South Island. Forecast: Moderate to fresh south-easterly to southerly winds; weather unsettled, with occasional rain, but improving; cool to moderate temperatures; seas moderate.
