RAIDS ON THE CONTINENT ICE ON THE MACHINES MILITARY OBJECTIVES HIT (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 9, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 8 The Air Ministry states that some Royal Air Force raiders last night became so heavily ice-laden that they were unable to climb. The bombers also dropped salvoes of bombs on aerodromes at Holtenau and Husum despite violent firing from the ground.
