Continued unsettled weather Is indicated to-day and tomorrow, with heavy showers, mild temperatures, winds chiefly from a northerly direction. The Rainfall Rafnrall Tor 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning. .651 n. Rainfall for previous 24 hours, .851 n. Rainfall for August to date, I.SOin. Average rainfall for August, 3.961 n. Rainrall for year to date 97.891 ft. Average yearly rainrall, 46.32 inches. BPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special rorccast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Walkalo-Thames Valley Is follows:— General situation: The recent depression is still centred west or the North Island, while an anti-cyclone extends rrom Australia on to the South Island. Forecast: Moderate northerly winds gradually tending more westerly; weather cloudy and changeable, with some scattered rain; temperatures moderate; seas moderate.
