Mrs Douglas Andrews, Hamilton, is visiting Wanganui, where she is the guest of Mrs C. Gunn. The resignation of Nurse S. Reardcn was received with regret at a meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday.
Sympathy with Sister McAllister, of the Matamata Hospital, in her illness was expressed in a resolution carried at a meeting of the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday.
Bowls of flowers were arranged about St. Peter’s Hall on Wednesday evening, when members of the Church of England Men’s Society held a successful social and dance. Games competitions and dancing were enjoyed and a varied programme was presented. These functions are to take place weekly, the alternate Wednesdays to take the form of a sports evening. MATANGI Mrs Weir, of Christchurch, hay been visiting Mrs Weir. Mrs Marychurch has recently been spending a holiday at Tauranga. Mrs McDowell has returned from a holiday in Auckland. * * * * Mrs Trubshaw is visiting her daughter, Mrs R. Bryant, at Morrinsville. NGAHINAPOURI Mrs M. French, Auckland, is visiting her mother Mrs Adlam. Miss Pat Haycraft was the recent guest of Mrs Eric Wilkinson. Miss L. Benton is spending a fortnight at her home in Auckland. * * * * Miss Nancy Wing is staying with her mother, Mrs T. Wing.
