ARRIVAL OF REFUGEES MR NOEL COWARD’S MISSION DUKE OF WINDSOR’S LUGGAGE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received July 30, 10.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 29 Two Cunard liners, the Britainnic, from Liverpool, and the Cameronia, from Glasgow, have arrived at New York. The Britainnic’s passengers included Mr Noel Coward, who is
stated to be on a diplomatic mission to Washington, Madame Tabouis (the well-known political writer), and Viscount Stonehaven. Two hundred and seventy-two children, all accompanied by their parents, relatives or guardians, arrived under a private arrangement to go to friends and relatives in the United States. Fifteen pieces of luggage labelled “Duke of Windsor,” were aboard, to be sent to Nassau. Mr J. P. Morgan personnally greeted Lord Primrose, the eleven-year-old son of Lord Shrewsbury, as well as two children of a business associate in London. The Cameronia brought about 100 unaccompanied children.
