STAR VAAL’S SUCCESS HUM A SONG IN SPRINT TOTALISATOR INCREASE Good dividends were the order of the day at Arawa Park on Saturday when the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty Hunt staged a most successful gathering under fine weather conditions. Golden England sprang a surprise in the Hunt Cup and Young Paddon won the chief handicap from end to end. Another Te Rapa horse in Hum a Song upset popular calculations in the open sprint. The first three winners were all at double figures. Taunu in the Bracelet, Joy Vaals in the Innovation Stakes and Fat Boy in the Hack and Hunters’ Hurdles. The track was in good winter order.
