BLACK CAT ART UNION
FORTUNATE WOMEN WIN FIRST AND SECOND PRIZES (By TelegTapn.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Saturday The first prize-winner in the “Black Cat” Art Union is Mrs George Moody, the wife of a well-known tobacconist and sportsman. She said it was the first ticket she had bought solely for herself and when it was seen to be more safe, she and her husband would take a long trip. The fifth prize of £3OO goes to Mr Jack Everest a sterotyper in the “Evening Star.” “Mickey,” the winner of the second prize in “Our Black Cat” Art Union proved to be a woman, the wife of the well-known Mangahei farmer, Mr W. C. Kilford. She did not know of her good luck until this morning when a neighbour in conversation wondered who “Mickey” was. Mrs Kilford at that stage did not know but remembering that she had bought a ticket at the exhibition in November. She got it and compared the number with the announcement in the Dannevirke Evening News. She then realised her good fortune.
