Federation Of Clubs
CO-ORDINATING ARRANGEMENTS As a lead to district committees, that have been set up to encourage physical welfare in various areas, the National Council for Physical Welfare and Recreation has recommended committees to strive to organise the loose federation of sports bodies within its district for the following purposes;— (a) To make representation to and to advise constitutent bodies and the district committee on matters of mutual interest. (b) To co-ordinate the arrangements for the use of grounds and other facilities. (c) To co-operate in displays and public performances. (d) To arrange reciprocal membership facilities between clubs where practicable, such as badminton with table tennis, women's cricket with tennis. (e) In such other ways as from time to time seem necessary to co-operate with and advise the constitutent bodies and the district committee. By this is not meant an elaborate attempt to co-ordinate sports clubs and major institutions merely to bring to their notice the need for some collaboration and co-ordination of effort for their own advantage. The mutual distrust and cutthroat competition shown by some sports organisations has been proved, by the coordination of arrangements for grounds, finance, reciprocal membership facilities In certain cases and participation in public performances, to be unnecessary.
