PIANIST AND COMPOSER (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Dec. 20 The death occurred suddenly in London yesterday of Eric Fogg, pianist and composer, at the age of 36. Eric Fogg began composing music while a choir boy in Manchester Cathedral. His orchestral piece “Sea Sheen” was composed when he was 15. In 1919, by which time he had composed a large number of pieces, he won the Cobbett “Fantasy” prize for the year. In 1920 he conducted the Queen’s Hall Orchestra, London, in a concert of his own works. In August, 1934, he was appointed Empire director of music for the British Broadcasting Corporation.
