ROUND OF CHEER
GIFTS FOR CHILDREN MR H. D. CARO’S GESTURE For the seventeenth successive year, Mr H. D. Caro, Mayor of Hamilton, and Mrs Caro, visited the children at I the Waikato Hospital and the Salvation Army Home, “The Nest,” on their Christmas cheer round, distributing parcels to every child. With the car decorated and Father Christmas sitting beside Mr Caro, the party received a cheering welcome from the children of the Sunshine Ward at the Hospital. Balloons were distributed as well as gifts, and every child appeared to be thrilled at the magnanimous gesture. After visiting the children in the isolation ward at the hospital, Mr Caro and his party journeyed to “The Nest.” There the children gave the party a rousing welcome and welcomed their gilts enthusiastically.
