Tel. copyrianii PARIS, Dec. 18 The Commander-in-Chief of the Allied forces, Marshal Gamelin, today conducted the British Prime Mmister, Mr Chamberlain, over a section of the Maginot Line. Mr Chamberlain inspected British bombers and fighters in camouflaged aerodromes. The French Prime Minister, M. Daladier, gave a dinner to Mr Chamberlain at the Quai d’Orsay. There were 51 diplomatic guests. Mr Chamberlain in the course of his tour of the Maginot Line at a number of points took the salute at the march past. When the tour was completed he expressed to Marshal Gamelin his deep gratitude for the honours paid to him and his admiration at the scale and completeness of the French defence system. Mr Chamberlain conferred with M. Daladier, Prime Minister, at 9.30 a.m. A war communique states: “There is nothing of importance to report.”
