WOMEN’S DIVISION
NOTICE TO BRANCHES Will all members of the Women’s Division who are making “hold-alls and hussifs” for soldiers please hand them in at the Waikato Show office by Friday evening, December 22, if possible. KARAKARIKI BRANCH The December meeting of the Karakariki branch of the Women : s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held recently, when there was a fair attendance of members. Mrs Magner presided. A visitor, Mrs Davis, was warmly welcomed. The roll-call, “Where would you like to spend a holiday,” caused a good deal of amusement. The competition, an article suitable for a Christmas gift costing not more than Is, was won by Mrs Magner with Mrs Buckley second. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs Glennie and Mrs Buckley, and a happy afternoon was brought to a close by Mrs Magner wishing all members a happy Christmas. The next meeting will be the second Wednesday in February.
