DOCTOR SHOT DEAD
GUN BATTLE IN BELGRADE SEQUEL TO POLICE SEARCH (United press Assr».—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Dec. 19, 11.45 a.m.) BELGRADE, Dec. 18 Dr. Edo Markovltch, director of the State Export Society, was killed in a gun battle when the police were attempting to search his house for evidence in connection with the recent Communist demonstrations.
Dr. Markovitch’s daughter was arrested last week.
