FANCY DRESS PARTY

OKOROIRE SCHOOL PUPILS There was a happy gathering in the Okoroire District Hall, when a large number of children in colourful fancy dresses attended the annual children's fancy dress party. The function was organised by the staff of the Okoroire School and members of the school committee. Many charming toy soldiers, pierrots and fairies with sparkling wings were all on parade and presented a picture of colour and variety. Following the grand march a delightful programme of dances, choral speaking and games was presented by the children and these reflected great credit on the teachers. The latter part of the evening was spent with a programme of modern and old-time dance numbers for the adults. During the evening the headmaster, Mr O. J.
