PITCAIRN ISLAND
FOOD SHORTAGE (United Pres? Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrip-nt WASHINGTON, Dec. 15 Admiral Byrd reports that there is an acute food shortage at Pitcairn. The islanders need flour, sugar, lard, potatoes, matches and medical supplies. The war has prevented the usual supplies, there is no danger of starvation.
