PERSONAL
The Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands, visited Hamilton today. Tonight he will address a meeting of trade unionists and Labour Party members in Hamilton. Mr C. A. Barrel!, M.P. for Hamilton, will leave for Wellington by the limited express tonight. Mr F. W. Doidge, M.P. for Tauranga. visited Hamilton during the week-end. Messrs H. Ledger (Buckland) and J. W. Sutherland (Dunedin) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Lieutenant-Colonel D. G. S. Urmson, late of the Indian Army, has been appbinted a general staff officer at Army Headquarters, Wellington.
Surgeon-Lieutenant E. S. McPhail, R.N.V.R. (New Zealand), has been appointed to H.M.S. Philomel pending the taking over of duty on H.M.S. Monowai.
Dr. H. H. Gilbert, of Hamilton, has received notification that he has been awarded the Senior Clinical Surgery Medal at the Otago Medical School, Dunedin.
