SPECIAL FORECAST (By Government Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government Meteorologist, covering the Waikato-Thames Valley Is as follows:General situation; A depression or moderate intensity is moving across the Auckland Peninsula from the west. Forecast: Moderate to Tresh easterly winds predominating, but later turning to southerly. Weather unsettled with occasional rain, but improving. Temperatures mild. Seas moderate on the east coast, rather rough on the west.
