I [ INSTALLATION CEREMONY J There was an exceptionally large j attendance of officers and members ! of the Pride of Hamilton Lodge of Druids on Tuesday evening, when they held their half yearly installation of officers. Visitors from the Pride of Newcastle Lodge and Frankj ton Lodge, Past Grand President Brother G. Thompson, of West Harbour Lodge, Dunedin, Brother S. | Hounell, of Pioneer No. 1 Lodge, i Christchurch, Brother A. F. Mulligan, iof the Lily of Richmond Lodge, i Christchurch, and Brother C. J. Mc- | Devitt, of Ponsonby Lodge, Aucki land, were accorded the Honours of the Order, and a hearty welcome was j extended to them. The last four j Brothers were on leave from Hopu ‘ Hopu camp. A.D. Brother C. Cock- | head presided. i The district president, Brother A. ' j W. Spiers, conducted the ceremony of the installation of officers for the I new term. J The new officers installed were:— A.D., Brother C. Cockhead, V.A.D. j Brother S. Whellan, 1.G., Brother J. | Maxneld. O.G. Brother T. Barnett, • A.D.B. Sister Watson, A.D.B. Sister M. Connell, V.A.B. Brother J. Black, I V.A.B. Sister J. Watson, Master of ; j Ceremonies, ' Brother A. Cowley. I musician, Sister G. Barnett. | The opportunity was taken by the , secretary. Brother S. Hawkins, on be- ! half of the Hamilton Lodge, to pre - sent to P.A.D. Brother W. McKenna a beautiful framed diploma, and a P.AD.'s collar, for services rendered while passing through the various chairs of the lodge. The recipient made appropriate acknowledgment. I
Dance Follows Meeting At the conclusion of the meeting an enjoyable dance was held, excellent music being supplied by Brother W. Whitehead and Brother H. Reid. Brother A. Cowley and Brother E. Wallace made efficient masters of ceremonies. The hostesses for the evening were:—Sisters T. Barnett, C. Cockhead, J. H. Morley and E. Sharp. Items by Mr J. H. M. Burdis, I. Te Wera, Mr D. Reid, Mr W. Whitehead, Miss M. Whittaker and a Maori sextet, comprising Mr and Mrs G. Dunn, Misses E. Stewart, R. Puke, M. Toko and N. Taylor were very much appreciated.
