SOCIAL EVENING

ST. PAUL’S LADIES’ GUILD A very enjoyable social arranged by the St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild was held in the school hall on Tuesday evening. The hall had been beautifully decorated in keeping with the Christmas season, and a most enjoyable programme had been arranged by Mesdames M. Arthur and B. Williams, consisting of novel games and musical and elocutionary items. Two delightful brackets of part songs and Christmas carols were sung by the League of Mothers’ choir. Vocal solos were contributed by Mrs Edwards, Miss Campbell and Mr B. Williams; elocutionary items by Miss McKenzie and ’cello solos by Miss McLachlan. The president, Mrs D. Bradley, thanked all who had contributed to the evening’s success, and Mrs B. Williams presented Mrs Bradley with a box of beautiful flowers, with Christmas greetings from the Guild. The Rev. R. B. Tinsley brought the evening to a close with family devotions, after which an enjoyable supper was served.
