DISCOVERY IN JAPAN USE OF WHALE BLUBBER (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrig-ht, TOKIO, Dec. 13 The latest wool substitute is announced by Mr Yoshio Ishida, Director of Chemical Research at the bureau of Riken Laboratories.

After expressing oil from the blubber of Antarctic whales the fibrous residue can be processed into wool, equalling the genuine articles for warmth and other qualities. The quantity, however, is not estimated.
