MINERS’ GRIEVANCES
THREAT OF GENERAL STRIKE PREMIER MEETS DELEGATES (United Press Assn.—Eler. Tel. Copyrignt) SYDNEY, Dec. 14 The Prime Minister, Mr R. G. Menzies, who is visiting Sydney with other Cabinet Ministers, had a threehour conference with the coal miners’ and coal owners’ representatives, who recently effected a truce to end an 11-day strike on 15 northern coalfields. Mr Menzies heard the miners’ grievances and their threats of a general strike. He promised to submit the dispute to the Cabinet and furnish its reply next week.
