DEATH IN ENGLAND

WESTPORT PILOT RELATIVES' IN HAMILTON WESTPORT, Thursday Cabled advice was received this morning by Mr J. M. Robertson, Mayor of Westport, of the death of his son, Pilot-Officer D. H. Robertson, R.A.F., aged 22. Pilot-Officer Robertson, who left last year for England, was an old boy of Nelson College and Westport Technical High School. He passed matriculation in 1934 in order to qualify for the Air Force. He was prominent in football, cricket and swimming, and possessed musical attainments above the average. Pilot-Officer Robertson was a relative of the Clarkin family, of Claudelands.
