Copyright i DARWIN, Nov. 9 Protected by armed guards, the defence forces at Darwin intervened in the railway strike to provide themselves with food and supplies, which had been short for a month. One hundred soldiers, using Army lorries, carried away about 50 tons of flour and perishable goods, which the wharf labourers unloaded from a British freighter on Monday, and had been standing in the trucks on the jetty since then. The railwaymen are striking for high wages.
