Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 9 A report from the Amsterdam correspondent of the exchange Telegraph Company states that one man, believed to be Dutch, was shot dead and a number of Dutchmen were kidnapped at Yelno, on the Netherlands-German frontier tonight, during an armed clash between German officials and Dutchmen. The Amsterdam correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain states that the inundation of the main water defence line through the centre of Holland began late tonight Buses were requisitioned for evacuation and trains were curtailed from Amsterdam, apparently owing to troop movements. The Brussels correspondent of the same agency states the military took over the main roads and dug new trenches along the Albert Canal, near Maastricht, the tongue of Holland between Belgium and Germany. All the defences of the canal have been fully manned and the bridges mined.
