SALE PROVES LIFELESS Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report on their special cattle sale at Frankton on Wednesday, as follows:—A good yarding of cattle came forward to a small bench of buyers. Buyers were very cautious, owing no doubt to the uncertainty of prices for beef and also the dry, cold weather recently experienced. The sale was lifeless, and prices were considerably below more recent sales. However, quite a number of vendors met the market. The following were the prices realised: Three-year Polled Angus, fresh-conditioned,, £8 5s to £8 15s; three-year Hereford steers, £6 15s to £7 7s 6d; two-year Hereford steers, £6 to £6 10s; small two-year Polled Angus steers, £5 12s 6d to £6 7s 6d; rough grown steers, £4 15s to £6 10s; two-year Polled Angus heifers, empty, £3 5s to £4 2s 6d; yearling Polled Angus heifers, 35s to £2 10s; young cows, £3 5s to £4 15s; others, £2 to £3; medium yearling Jersey heifers, £3 10s to £4 ss.
