Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, is in Wellington.
Messrs W. McKinnon (Auckland) and A. F. Smith (Wellington) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr Rex Walden, of Hamilton, will leave for Wellington tonight to take up an appointment as radio announcer.
Archbishop Averill, Primate of New Zealand, attended the opening of the Centennial Exhibition yesterday.
The Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, who visited Hamilton recently, is touring the Coromandel Peninsula. Later he will visit the Far North.
Mr H. S. Robinson, general secretary and treasurer to the Diocese of Melanesia, will arrive at Auckland from Sydney by the Mariposa on Monday.
Mr L. G. Williams, who is leaving Hamilton to serve in the military forces, was presented with a travelling outfit by members of the staff of the Public Works Department’s electrical branch yesterday.
Constable J. Richardson, of Hamilton, who has been transferred to Rotorua, was farewelled by members of the force at the police station yesterday. Senior-Sergeant G. H. Lambert presented him with a silver teapot.
