Timber Company’s Earnings
Improved earnings are reported by the Leyland-O’Brien Timber Company, Limited, for the year ended September 30. Profit was £10,524, against £3295 in the previous year. With £22,897 brought in the directors have available £33,421, out of which it is proposed to pay a dividend of Is a share (free of income tax). The rate of dividend proposed is 6 2-3 per cent per annum, against 5 per cent previously. Provision has been made for the payment of the usual bonus to employees.
