The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency, Limited, reports a large yarding of cattle at the Rangiriri Cattle Fair last Monday. Considering the market had eased over the past fortnight and the recent spell j of dry weather, prices realised at j 1 this sale were more than satisfac- i tory. Buyers were present from the Auckland, Morrinsville and local j districts. Male cattle were in good demand and sold freely, but female ; cattle were harder to quit and consequently a number of pens did not reach the reserve price.
