LABOUR PARTY

TE AWAMUTU BRANCH (Special to Times) TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday There was almost a record attendance at this month’s general meeting of the Te Awamutu branch of the New Zealand Labour Party, held in the Oddfellows' Hall. There

were several new members present. General business was done, and during the discussions reference was

made to the intensification of the propaganda work of the Party’s political opponents. It was decided to appeal to all sympathisers with the Government to use their best efforts to counter the propaganda and criticism, which was considered to be unfair in many respects. A special evening will be held on Thursday, December 7, when the Hon. J. E. Duncan will be in attendance.
